• Is it safe to use every day?

  Adapinoid Gel was developed to be gentle enough to be used every day, but we recommend working up to it—especially if you've never used a retinoid before. To start, use every other night; as skin acclimates, build up to nightly use.

• Is it safe to use Adapinoid Gel in the morning?

  Using a retinoid product like Adapinoid Gel during the day is ok, but be sure to follow with your favourite sunscreen, as retinoid products can make you more sensitive to UV rays from the sun. It's important to wear SPF if you use it at night, too—but for morning use, it's critical.

• Is this the same thing as retinol?

  The key ingredient in Adapinoid Gel—adapinoid—is a cousin of retinol. Both are vitamin A derivatives. Since retinol and adapinoid do similar things, there’s no need to use both—using them together could actually cause irritation without adding benefits.

• Can I use Adapinoid Gel around my eyes?

  Adapinoid Gel can be used on the skin around the eyes, but direct contact with the eyes should be avoided. If the product accidentally comes into contact with your eyes, please rinse thoroughly with water.

• Is this safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

  Our Adapinoid Gel wasn’t tested on people who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and some doctors recommend limiting the use of retinoids during that time. We suggest checking with your doctor before adding this product to your routine.
