  • Is this safe for sensitive or rosacea-prone skin?

    Yes, our Foaming Oil Cleanser was clinically tested and shown to be safe for sensitive skin. It’s also safe for rosacea-prone skin and has been accepted by the National Rosacea Society. The formula is fragrance-free, non-stripping, and developed with barrier health in mind to cleanse thoroughly—yet gently.

  • Can I use this on my body?

    You can use it on your body—it's gentle, and body skin tends to be less sensitive than facial skin. That said, the cleanser was really designed (and tested) for the face, so while it won’t do any harm, it might not make the most sense. If you're looking for something for everyday body use, our Pre-Biotic Face + Body Foaming Oil Cleanser might be a better fit.

  • Can this be used to remove eye makeup?

    Foaming Oil Cleanser hasn’t been specifically tested for makeup removal, but it does provide a thorough, gentle cleanse. If you’re using a more stubborn or water-resistant SPF, we recommend our Ceramide + Ectoin Gentle Gel Cleanser—it’s designed to be gentle on skin while effectively removing makeup and sunscreen.

  • Is this good to use as the first step of a double cleanse routine?

    Yes, you can use the Foaming Oil Cleanser as the first step in a double cleanse, but it’s not totally necessary. Unlike traditional cleansing balms or oil cleansers, it has a lower oil content and rinses clean—so it won’t leave behind a residue that needs to be washed away. That said, if you enjoy double cleansing, it pairs well with our Ceramide + Ectoin Gentle Gel Cleanser and shouldn’t cause irritation when used together.

  • Is this safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding?

    Foaming Oil Cleanser has been reviewed and tested for safety on a panel of people who aren’t pregnant or breastfeeding. "I am addicted‼️Your cleanser is NOT cleansing your face and I have proof! ⬇️ I thought that tight, shiny skin after cleansing meant my face was squeaky clean. After some research, I learned that’s often a sign your skin barrier is being stripped and compromised. That’s what led me to Skinfix. I started with a sample size of the Barrier+ cream and saw such drastic results that I picked up a set with this cleanser—and that’s when I realized how much a quality cleanser mattered. From the first time I used it, this felt different. It’s thicker, a foaming oil hybrid that lathers into this cloud like foam that makes my skin feel soft while I am washing it. I could literally feel my waterproof mascara breaking down—no tugging, no second cleanse. My skin was never red after, never tight, and that weird shiny “plastic” look was gone immediately. I didn’t realize how good it actually was until I ran out. I pay attention to ingredients and so does this company - BIG TIME. The humectant blend of glycerin and ectoin is power house move. Ectoin is here to protect your skin from daily stress while glycerin focuses on pulling water into the skin for hydration. Adding red algae to help calm the skin while also hydrating is unique and effective. The heavy hitter is the coconut derived cleansers in an oil based cream and means nothing is left on your face. I order directly from the Skinfix website because they have an amazing loyalty program where I earn points that equal actual money off the next order, because of that I had to wait for shipping and use what cleanser I had in the meantime. I had a few well-known, “trusted” names left over, and did what I always do: cleanse in the shower- wipe with a cotton pad with Thayers lavender witch hazel to remove any left over soap residue, dirt, and make up. After using La Roche Posay, Tula, Clinique, FEEL, and Beauty Stat- my cotton pad came back dirty ➡️ EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I was shocked. I realized that prior to finding my Skinfix face wash I had been putting my skincare on top of skin that wasn’t fully clean. And that means that I was not getting the full effect of the skincare that I had invested my money on. I did the homework for you and I have included pictures to show the proof of what other cleansers are leaving on your skin after "cleansing". You are NOT getting the benefits of your skincare if your face is not clean! I cannot say this loud enough. Cleansing is step 1 and sets the skin up for the rest. Step 1 has to be effective to get results from the rest of the routine. At this point, I won’t EVER use anything else. Skinfix covers every step of my daily skincare routine and I own multiple products from this brand. There is absolutely nothing out here that matches the quality and results of this line. Results begin immediately- you will not have to wait months (I experienced noticeable changes in my skin immediately). If you’re debating the price, I’d honestly challenge you to do the same cotton pad test. The difference speaks for itself."

"Best cleanser I've ever used hands down. I came from the CeraVe foaming cleanser and I didn't realize how stripping it was of my moisture barrier. The way I could tell is how long it took for my face to feel dry after getting out of the shower. With this face wash, my face takes almost four times as long to feel as dry if I choose not to put on moisturizer. My skin feels clean but very very natural."

Your product has sodium benzoate in it, is there a concern about layering it with other skincare that has vitamin c in it? I know benzene is a carcinogen and can form when sodium benzoate is combined with vitamin c.
Hi Courtney, Though it is very unlikely to have this chemical reaction that will produce benzene when our product with Sodium benzoate is used with a Vitamin C Skincare product, but since we don't know the pH of the other companies products we cannot give an affirmative answer. We advise you to speak with your dermatologist/ healthcare practitioner before you combine such products. While reviewing the products, the acidity of the products should be considered. The reason why this is very unlikely for our products is because there are 3 common conditions required to promote this chemical reaction; acidic environment (usually pH below 3), elevated temperature and exposure to light. Is this generally pregnancy safe?
Thanks for reaching out! Our products are considered safe during pregnancy. However, some doctors suggest limited use of products with BHA's or AHA's (although most consider them safe). We would suggest checking with your doctor for their point of view on using products with BHA's and AHA's while pregnant and breast feeding. Will you remove the phenethyl alcohol? This cleanser looks great but I have reactive skin and am concerned by several mentions of people who got bad painful rashes. Looking at the ingredients for if that might be a risk for me, the phenethyl alcohol is a strong irritant and basically a scent masker/additive. It has only a secondary role with boosting preservatives, that seems like it could be achieved with a less irritating ingredient. I'd love to know if I should keep an eye out for an ingredient update that would make this a possible cleanser for me!
Hi there, Thank you for reaching out. The Phenethyl alcohol in our formula is 100% natural origin. It is used a preservative in one of the raw material. The final concentration in the formula is 0.005%, so it won’t have any drying effect on the skin. Moreover, barrier+ Foaming Oil Cleanser has been tested in a clinical study and showed a very good tolerance without any irritation. You should definitely give our formula a try.
