    On Rotation
    • Use 1-3 times per week
    • Apply a generous amount to dry skin, before you turn on the shower
    Buff + Smooth
    • Rub onto dry skin first—this gives the scrubbers more friction and allows the exfoliating acids more time to work
    • Then, turn the water on, massage in circular motions, and rinse
    Good to Know
    • To avoid overdoing it, skip layering with other exfoliating acids and retinoids, and alternate instead
    • Follow with moisturizer once out of the shower, and remember to use sunscreen SPF 30 or higher in the morning

  • Can I use this on my face?

    The Glycolic Renewing Scrub was formulated specifically for the body, where skin is typically thicker and less sensitive than the face. It contains both physical exfoliants and a high concentration of exfoliating acids, which could be too harsh for facial skin. Additionally, it was only clinically tested for use on the body—not the face—so we don’t recommend using it outside of that intended area.

  • Can I use this after shaving?

    The Glycolic Renewing Scrub is great to use before shaving—it helps loosen dead skin and release ingrowns for a smoother shave. We don’t recommend using it right after shaving, since that can lead to irritation. Shaving exfoliates your skin too, so it’s best to give it time to recover to avoid stinging.

  • Will this help with body acne?

    While our Glycolic Renewing Scrub wasn't specifically tested for breakouts, its exfoliating properties encourage cell turnover, which is beneficial for acne-prone skin. The scrub also helps release trapped ingrown hairs, which can sometimes cause acne-like bumps. We’d love to hear if it works for you as part of your acne routine—please let us know!

Q&A

Is this safe for me to use on my face and neck? I used it about 20 minutes ago. It was recommended in a beauty magazine and I would like to know if I made a mistake or not?
Hi Brandy, This product was created to be used from the neck down. It is not recommended to use on the face, as it could be too abrasive for the delicate skin on the face. There should not be any long term issues if only used once in that area. Thanks!
Is the scrub sugar based?
Hi SPT, We use both sugar and bamboo polishers in the resurface+ Glycolic Renewing Scrub in reference to the physical exfoliating ingredients. Of course, the chemical exfoliants of AHA and BHA's are used as well. We hope this helps!
What version of this is currently in production? There seems to be a %5/%5 and a %7/6 version. I submitted this before but it never posted for an answer
Hi Whitney, Thank you for touching base here. Glycolic and Lactic acid ingredients contain some water. While there are 13% of the ingredients in the formula, the pure lactic and glycolic acid is 10%. Are any of your creams good for the feet of a diabetic? My feet are tight and like leather left in the sun too long!

Are there any warnings against using these products while pregnant?
Hi Claire, Thanks for reaching out! Our products are considered safe during pregnancy. However, some doctors suggest limited use of products with BHA's or AHA's (although most consider them safe). We would suggest checking with your doctor for their point of view on using products with BHA's and AHA's while pregnant and breast feeding. Our Acne+ and Resurface + collections do have actives, but the remaining collections do not. We hope this helps!
I purchased the renewing scrub and cream a long time ago, and never opened them. Is there an expiration date for these products?

The open jar symbol on each of our products indicates how long after opening, your product will be most effective. To locate an expiry date, please look at the crimp or bottom of jar.
